About Facebook Messenger
Facebook Messenger is Meta's messaging app for texts, photos, voice messages, and audio and video calls with Facebook contacts. messenger.com now redirects to facebook.com/messages, and the Windows and Mac desktop apps stopped working in December 2025, so the mobile apps and Facebook are the main ways in. Message delivery, calls, notifications, and encrypted chat history can fail separately.
