About Counter-Strike 2
Counter-Strike 2 is Valve's free-to-play 5v5 tactical shooter on Steam, played in Premier, Competitive, Wingman and Deathmatch modes. Every match needs a working Steam login, so a Steam outage stops CS2 even when game servers are up. Matchmaking, Steam login and the Steam Community Market can fail separately. Valve has no official status page and posts updates on @CounterStrike on X.
