About Facebook
Facebook is Meta's social network for profiles, the news feed, Groups, Pages, Events, Marketplace and Reels, with Messenger for chat. Parts can fail separately: the feed may load while Marketplace, video, Messenger or login fail, and the app may break while facebook.com works. Facebook shares infrastructure with Instagram and WhatsApp, so large outages often hit all three. Meta's status page, metastatus.com, covers business tools only.
