About Instagram
Instagram is Meta's app for sharing photos, videos, Stories and Reels, with direct messages built in. Parts can fail separately: the feed may load while uploads, Stories or DMs fail, and the app may break while instagram.com works. Because it shares Meta's infrastructure, big outages often hit Facebook and WhatsApp too. Meta's official status page, metastatus.com, covers business tools, not the Instagram app.
