Question 1

Is Google Flights down right now?

Accepted Answer

Check the live status indicator and chart at the top of this page. Our system collects real-time user reports — if multiple users report issues at the same time, Google Flights is automatically flagged as having problems.

Question 2

Is it down for everyone or just me?

Accepted Answer

Look at the 24-hour chart and recent reports section. A spike in reports from users across multiple countries means the outage is widespread. If reports are scarce, the issue may be local — try a different device, browser, or network to confirm.

Question 3

How long does a Google Flights outage usually last?

Accepted Answer

Most outages resolve within 1–4 hours. Minor incidents often clear in under 30 minutes. Check the Outage History section on this page to see how long previous Google Flights incidents lasted.

Question 4

Why can't I access Google Flights?

Accepted Answer

There can be several reasons: Google Flights may be experiencing a server outage, your internet connection might be disrupted, or the issue could be specific to your region, device, or browser. Try clearing your cache, restarting your router, or switching to a different device.

Question 5

What should I do if Google Flights is not working?

Accepted Answer

First, check this page for widespread reports. If many users are affected, the best option is to wait. While you wait: clear the app cache, try a different device or network, visit Google Flights's official status page, and check their social media for live updates.

Question 6

How does DownStatus detect Google Flights outages?

Accepted Answer

DownStatus combines four independent signals: community-submitted problem reports, automated website pings, Google Flights's official status page data, and Reddit mention counts. When multiple signals indicate problems simultaneously, we flag Google Flights as experiencing an outage — giving you an independent view of service health.
