Bing Not Working for You? It Might Not Be an Outage
If the status above shows no ongoing outage but Bing isn't loading for you, the problem is likely on your side or with your internet provider.
Common Reasons Bing Stops Working
- Microsoft backend outage affecting Bing Search, Bing Chat (Copilot), or Bing Maps independently
- Bing AI (Copilot) infrastructure separate from Bing Search — one can fail while the other works
- Browser extension or ad blocker interfering with Bing's scripts
- SafeSearch or parental control settings filtering results unexpectedly
- ISP or corporate network blocking Bing in your region
How to Fix Bing Not Working
- Check admin.microsoft.com/servicestatus for Microsoft service health
- Try bing.com in an incognito window to rule out browser extensions
- For Copilot issues, try copilot.microsoft.com directly — it has its own infrastructure
- Check your SafeSearch settings at bing.com/settings/search
- Try a different browser (Edge works best for Bing AI features)
- Flush DNS if bing.com fails to load: ipconfig /flushdns on Windows
