About Perplexity AI
Perplexity is an AI answer engine that searches the web in real time and replies with cited sources, used for research, fact-finding and comparisons. It runs at perplexity.ai, in mobile and desktop apps and through a developer API. The website, apps, Computer agent and API can fail separately, and Perplexity reports each on its official status page, status.perplexity.com.
