Is it a carrier outage, or just your area?
Track real-time outages for mobile carriers and internet service providers. Whether you can't make calls, send texts, or connect to the internet, find out instantly if it's a network-wide issue or just your device. Reports come from real users, so you'll know within minutes if an outage is spreading.
- Read the status bar. "SOS" or "No service" while people near you have signal points to your SIM or account. No signal for everyone around you points to a local tower or a wider outage.
- Check where reports come from. Each provider page shows the cities with the most reports. A cluster in one place means a regional fault, not a national one.
- Restart before calling support. Toggle airplane mode or restart the phone. For home internet, restart the modem and check its lights first.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my mobile network or ISP down?
Telecom outages can be caused by infrastructure failures, planned maintenance, high network congestion, or physical damage to cables and towers. Use this page to check whether others in the network are reporting the same issue. If reports are spiking, it's almost certainly a carrier-side problem.
Which telecom and ISP services does DownStatus monitor?
DownStatus monitors major mobile carriers and internet service providers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, Kyivstar, and others. The full list is shown above with live status.
How do I tell if it's my router or my carrier that's down?
Try connecting with mobile data instead of Wi-Fi (or vice versa). If mobile data works but Wi-Fi doesn't, the issue is likely your router or home network. If neither works, check this page: if other users are reporting problems with your carrier, it's an ISP-side outage.
What should I do during a telecom outage?
Switch to Wi-Fi if mobile data is affected (or vice versa). Enable Wi-Fi calling if your carrier supports it. Check your carrier's official status page for updates. If the outage affects your area specifically, contact your carrier's support. Regional issues are sometimes fixed faster when reported.
